Sebaceous hyperplasia are common, benign growths that typically occur on the face.  These are normal oil glands that are enlarged.

Sebaceous hyperplasia  commonly develops on the forehead, nose and cheeks.  They are soft, yellowish bumps that often have a little indentation in the centre.

Sebaceous hyperplasia does not need to be treated.  If desired for cosmetic reasons, electrodessication can sometimes shrink these growths.
